The new WEB APP of the Leonardo Museum

Event

The Leonardo WEB APP is now here: an audio guide to help visitors explore the museum.

Description

The new Leonardo Museum WEB APP is now live!

It is a digital audio guide that introduces visitors to the main models on exhibit in the Palazzina Uzielli and at the Castello dei Conti Guidi. It also offers a tour designed for children, led by the mascot Nereo, Leonardo’s bat friend.

It is available in Italian and English, requires no registration and can be used directly online via the QR code found at the ticket office and within the museum venues.

How does it work?

In the museum galleries – on the panels and captions of the models – there are numbered stickers: blue for the tour for adults and white for the one for children.

Once you’ve opened the WEB APP, you can choose how to find the model you’d like to learn about: by scrolling through the list, by typing the sticker number on the keyboard, or by using the map, which shows the location of the models and the names of the different sections.

Bring your headphones and immerse yourself in Leonardo’s world!

Where

Palazzina Uzielli

The visit to the Leonardo Museum begins at the Palazzina named after Gustavo Uzielli, one of the foremost scholars of Leonardo da Vinci in the second half of the nineteenth century.

Counts Guidi's castle

The imposing medieval building traditionally known as the “castle of the ship” — named after the elongated shape of the village and the castle’s tower, which together resemble a sailing vessel — has stood above the town of Vinci since the 12th century.
