The International Business Machines Corporation, commonly known as IBM and nicknamed “Big Blue,” is a leading American company in the information technology sector. It produces and markets computer hardware, software, middleware, and IT services, offering infrastructure, hosting services, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and consulting in the IT and strategic fields (ranging from mainframe computers to nanotechnologies).
IBM began its operations in Italy in 1927, with its first Italian branch opening in Milan in 1928.
