Università di Firenze, Facoltà di Architettura
Firenze 1927

About the creator
The School of Architecture officially originated in the academic year 1927/28, with the opening of enrollments for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, as a Section of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Florence. It was promoted by local authorities to meet the cultural needs of Florence, a city fully qualified for studies aimed more specifically at the profession of architect.
In 1930, the course of study finally came under the newly established Higher Institute of Architecture, with an autonomous structure and a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare student architects both scientifically and technically, as well as historically and critically.
