On September 27, 1970, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Florence was officially established, with the activation of the third year of courses in Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Engineering. The following academic year saw the launch of the Degree Program in Civil Engineering. Thus, on January 11, 1971, classes began for the activated three-year Application program.
